30 things i've learnt in 20 years
Originally this was meant to be a "20 things I've learnt in 20 years" but when I was writing, I realised that I have learnt so much and really wanted to include everything as I feel they are all important.
1. Appreciate everything you have
2. If a situation or relationship is not serving you, remove yourself from the equation.
3. Be happy.
4. Be yourself.
5. Live your life.
6. Don't get involved with drama.
7. Confidence comes with age.
8. Budgeting and saving money are important life skills.
9. Pick your fights.
10. Learn to Forgive yourself and others.
11. A healthy lifestyle is the key
12. Be kind to yourself, stop with the negative self talk.
13. Laugh at yourself.
14. Know your worth and don't let anyone treat you with less respect than you deserve
15. A little respect goes a long way.
16. You can't control how other people act, but you can control how you act/react.
17. Your studies are important, put effort into them.
18. Follow your dreams
19. Do what is best for you.
20. Helping others is always good, but you have to look after yourself before you can help another.
21. Everyone makes mistakes, don't be too harsh on yourself, learn from them and move on.
22. Let people know how important they are to you.
23. You are not responsible for another person's behaviour.
24. Be present
25. If you have a question, ask.
26. Speak your mind. What you have to say is important.
27. Don't put too much pressure on yourself - you can't do everything
28. You can't be perfect at everything and there's always room for improvement (even if you are perfect at something).
29. A positive mindset makes for a happier life
30. Don't depend on one object/person for happiness
What have you learnt over the years? Feel free to share them in the comments below.
